			<description><![CDATA[<FONT size=3><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">Ultimate Frisbee</SPAN></FONT><BR><BR><IMG style="BORDER-BOTTOM: rgb(191,191,191) 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: rgb(191,191,191) 1px solid; BORDER-TOP: rgb(191,191,191) 1px solid; BORDER-RIGHT: rgb(191,191,191) 1px solid" class=ssImage alt="" src="http://image.schoolspan.com/files/amagansett/myroom/3/36E3RH5G/3KMLDH9T.jpg"><BR><BR>Ultimate Frisbee was originated by Joel Silver in 1968.&nbsp; Joel was a student at Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey and proposed a Frisbee team to the student council.&nbsp; Now it is played around the world, mostly as college and club teams.<BR><BR><BR><BR><FONT size=3><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">Lacrosse</SPAN></FONT><BR><BR><IMG style="BORDER-BOTTOM: rgb(191,191,191) 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: rgb(191,191,191) 1px solid; BORDER-TOP: rgb(191,191,191) 1px solid; BORDER-RIGHT: rgb(191,191,191) 1px solid" class=ssImage alt="" src="http://image.schoolspan.com/files/amagansett/myroom/3/36E3RH5G/3KMLDH9U.jpg"><BR><BR>Lacrosse originated with the Native Americans, as early as the 12th century, among the Huron and Iroquois Tribes.&nbsp; The tribes used the ball sport to resolve conflicts, heal the sick, strengthen men and prepare for war.&nbsp; Teams consisted of about 100 to 1,000 men on a field that could be miles long.&nbsp; Lacrosse is now one of the fasted growing sports in the country.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[Proper footwear is required for students to actively participate in physical education class. Students should have rubber soled sneakers that fit properly. In the event that a student is not wearing proper footwear (Flip-flops, crocs, uggs and boots) they will not be permitted to participate. ]]></description>
