I. EDUCATIONAL ISSUES
Educational issues subject to shared
decision making by the S.D.M. team.

II. MANNER AND EXTENT OF INVOLVEMENT
1. SELECTION �
The Amagansett Teachers Association (A.T.A.) will select teachers. �
The Amagansett Parent/Teacher Association (P.T.A.) will select parents. �
Administrative representatives will be the Superintendent and the
Director of Student Services. �
Support Staff representative will be selected by the defined support staff.
The S.D.M. Team members will be held accountable for the making, implementing,
monitoring, and adjusting of the plans they shared in creating. All team
members will be supportive of the written plan. They will also be responsible
for communicating with and receiving information from any stakeholder groups.
Should an issue regarding a decision made by the S.D.M. Team arise, the S.D.M.
Team will address that issue at the next scheduled meeting.
2. TERM OF SERVICE
All stakeholders shall serve for two full years.
3. MEETINGS
First Wednesday of each month from 3:05-4:05
P.M.
4. DECISIONS
Decisions made by the S.D.M. Team shall be made
by consensus.
5. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Members will have the following roles and
responsibilities: � To participate in the shared decision making process. � To keep their stakeholder groups informed. � To represent the issues of their stakeholder group. � To actively support actions of the S.D.M. Team. � To attend all meetings and be prompt. � To agree to and support a process of consensus
decision-making.
III. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
A School Board appointed District Planning Team would intervene
and mediate those issues involving the S.D.M. Team that cannot be resolved. The
District Planning Team will address complaints only when it is felt that the
S.D.M. Team violated its established procedures.
IV. STATE AND FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PARENTAL
INVOLVEMENT
State and federal regulations, which require the involvement
of parents in planning and decision-making, will be adhered to in the usual
manner.
